Why Women and Girls?

Many women are doing very well in Hawaii, living healthy lives and succeeding in interesting and challenging professions or pursuits. The reality of our community, though, is that not everyone is thriving. In particular, women and girls face systemic challenges that impede their success. On the other hand, investing in women and girls is the potential key to solving some of the world’s greatest problems, like poverty and conflict. When women and girls thrive, communities and countries do too.
