Q&A

How I start my day: Well, it really depends on the day. I’m an early riser and I love to get a jumpstart on the morning. Monday through Friday, I’m usually up before 6 a.m. and I’m already checking emails as I make my husband’s coffee and get ready for work. My must-haves in the morning are a cup of tea and a few minutes of quiet time reading my Bible. It puts me in the right mind-set as I head out the door and greet the world.
One thing Hawaii can do to help business thrive: Embrace change. There is this generation of young professionals who have brilliant ideas and who are willing to take risks to see those dreams come to fruition. However, and I say this to myself almost more than anyone else, we often forget that there are those who have come before us who are filled with rich knowledge. We should look to those who have traveled these roads and seek guidance, but we also shouldn’t be afraid to try something new or do something different.
One thing business can do to help Hawaii: Give back. I know it sounds cliché, but I really believe that we should be involved in the community in which we do business.
My career in six words: Fashion, Consumer marketing, Retail, Development, Dynamic
